Jul 12 murder accused and family expelled

Chümoukedima organisations have “banished” Sanjay Lodh, the accused for the murder of a Naga girl, Tasenjungla on July 12, and his family from Chümoukedima jurisdiction, for life. 

In a press statement, Chümoukedima Town Youth Organisation (CTYO), president, Diethosilie Shuya and assistant general secretary, Petekhrielie Kuotsu stated that after a series of meeting between CTYO, Chümoukedima Town Mechü Krotho (CTMK), Chümoukedima Town Mothers Association(CTMA), Chümoukedima Town Students’ Union (CTSU) and the Hindu society on July 29, the organisations remained  firm that the accused should be expelled for the heinous crime committed and tarnishing the image of peace loving people of Chümuokedima. 

In this regard, the organisations warned that if any untoward scene arises in the future relating to the culprit and his family, the Hindu society of Chümoukedima will be held responsible.
