JYN observes ‘Recommitment Day’

Jesus Youth of Nagaland (JYN) observed the “Commitment and Recommitment Day” on June 9 at Mary Help of Christians Cathedral, Kohima. 

According to secretary of Bishop of Kohima, Fr. Victor Renthungo, the Bishop of Kohima, Most Rev. Dr. James Thoppil officiated the liturgy of commitment and offered the Holy Mass with fathers, Peter Pithungo, Jaison C J and Renthungo Victor as the con-celebrants. 
During the ceremony 81 Jesus youth members made their pledge of commitment and recommitment in the presence of Thoppil. Bishop James, in his homily highlighted the power of the Holy Spirit among the Youth. He congratulated the JYN team for the tireless efforts in keeping the youth ministry alive by serving the church in their capacity of upholding the values of Christianity.
Earlier, the senior youth leader of Jesus Youth, Victoria Yimchunger delivered the words of welcome and chaired the order of the ceremony.
