KAYAKALP review meeting in Wokha

A district review meeting of Medical Officers (MOs) and district felicitation program on KAYAKALP award was conducted on April 5 in Wokha. 

A press release from district media officer NHM Wokha, Mhonbeni Ezung stated that the meeting discussed the poor performance of Ambulance services in the state as pointed out by Central officials. The MOs were encouraged to transport a minimum of two patients per day to show improvement in Ambulance services by October 2019. 
CMO Wokha, Dr. Robin Lotha stressed on Swachhata Pakhwada Fortnight (April 1 - 15) activities to be observed at all health units and documentation of these activities. Health workers at health units have also been directed to stay at their respective posting places till the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 are over. 
Following the review meeting, the District Felicitation Program on KAYAKALP Award was held. The CMO encouraged all health units to strive for excellence and sustain good practices in their health care facilities. DPM (QA), Dr. Thungchanbeni Patton spoke on the aims and objectives of KAYAKALP. She urged them to actively participate in the coming “KAYAKALP Assessment 2019”. 
The program was chaired by deputy CMO, Dr. Zuben Kikon, short speeches and a presentation on “Journey of KAYAKALP” were given by MS DMMDH, Dr. Tumchobeni, SMO, Dr. William, BPM CHC Sanis, Gloria and MO Nyiro PHC, Dr. Thechamo.
