KBAN Children Festival concludes

 Children Festival 2019 organised by Kuki Baptist Association Nagaland (KBAN) which commenced on December 10 concluded on December 12 at KBC Khaibung. 500 Sunday school students from KBAN affiliated churches participated in the three-day event. Competitions like spelling bee, extempore, biblical essay writing, group singing and field competitions like caterpillar race and penalty shootout marked the festival. 

A running Trophy and cash prize for the overall champions was bagged by the Sunday school students of KBC Sirhima which was sponsored by Dr. Dennis Hangsing and family in memory of his father late Paojahao Hangsing, a pioneer in the field of music among the Kukis in Nagaland. 

The grand finale of Kid’s Voice for Christ 2019 was also held during the three-day festival where Lhaineineng Sitlhou of KBC Songlhuh won the title.

The education department KBAN expressed gratitude to the KBC Khaibung for successfully hosting the event, the prize donors and all who have contributed financially, physically, morally and stood by them through thick and thin and education secretary KBAN, Neichong, who was the driving force behind everyone involved.
