KBK, SFS jointly organise sports fellowship

A one-day sports fellowship organised jointly by Khedi Baptist Kehou (KBK) and St.Francis de Sales (SFS) Parish was held at D.Khel ground, Seikhazou.

Events like football, basketball, volleyball and arms wrestling were competed between Khedi Baptist Khriesariiii Krotho (KBKK) and Angami Catholic Youth Association (ACYA). 

Speaking at the inaugural programme, Teisovi Gerard Meyase said, “just as we live out the goodness, beauty and truth of our faith, we can honour God and the gifts He has given us by sports.”

“This fellowship with fellow Christians of different communities gives us a great opportunity to prepare ourselves for the upcoming feast of Easter,” Meyase added.

Petekhriezo Francis, Catechist of SFS read from the Scripture and invoked God’s blessings, KBKK members presented special numbers while Zhapuchiilie Khezhie chaired the programme.

During the closing ceremony, Kezhakietuo Belho, associate pastor, Khedi Baptist Kehou urged the youth to utilise God’s given talents in the right perspective, lead a positive life and be an examples to others.
