KBVU, MPK condemn assault on truck drivers

K. Bawe Village Union (KBVU) and youth body Kohima and Merhulietsa Panchayat Kohima (MPK) have strongly condemned the assault of LPG truck drivers on the night of July 4 and 9 at Kohima town. 

KBVU: A condemnation by K. Bawe Village Union chairman Nukhoyi Medeo, secretary Vevohu Kezo and youth president Vevotso Medeo stated that, its bonafide members Medophretuo Medeo son of Vethita Medeo along with two accomplices Pipenthung Humtsoe and Seyievilhou Phesao assaulted LPG truck drivers. In this regard, the K. Bawe Village Union and youth body Kohima has condemned the shameful act which has brought great shame to the union. It also lauded the effort of the authorities to book the culprits and urged the concerned to give befitting punishment according to the law. 
The union also apologised to the victims and All Kohima Indane Distributors Association (AKIDA) and regret the act perpetrated by bonafied members. 
MPK: Merhulietsa Panchayat Kohima (MPK) in a condemnation note stated that, the three accused were apprehended by the police with the assistance of the Merhulietsa Youth Organisation. 
The arrested accused were identified as Medophretuo Medeo of Khulazu Bawe village, Pipenthong Humtsoe of Pongitong village, Wokha and Seyievilhou Phesao of Chozuba village.
