Ziekiezou SC thrashed United 16 FC 7-1 at the ongoing Kohima Football League-2 on Friday.

Defending champions Ziekiezou SC opened the scoring in the 5th minute through Keviphretuo Kire. 4 minutes later, Keneinguzei Pienyii scored the second goal. Neikethozo Yhome scored the third goal in the half hour mark and Vilhoubeituo Yhome scored the fourth goal in the 45th minute to end the first half with a scoreline of 4-0.

After the breather, Keneinguzei Pienyii scored again in the 62nd minute to make it 5-0 while the 6th goal was scored by Khriekethozo Keretsii in the 70th minute. The face saving goal for United 16 FC was scored by Lonkhoi in the 85th minute. Kethosilie Zatsu scored the seventh goal for Ziekiezou SC in the 88th minute to complete the 7-1 thrashing. 

Keviphretuo Kire of Ziekiezou SC was cautioned for foul play.

With the win, Ziekiezou SC moved to the top of table with 24. However, Sechü Zubza FC, who are on 23 points, can overtake Ziekiezou SC if they beat Twenty XI FC on Saturday. 

President of Nagaland Contractors & Suppliers Union (NCSU), Pele Khezhie will grace the closing ceremony of the 2nd edition of Kohima Football League as the guest of honour on Saturday at 2pm.
