Rajya Sabha MP, K.G. Kenye called on Minister for Economic & Development, Japan, Kenko Sone; Secretary Japanese Embassy New Delhi,  Kenji Aya;  and former Indian Diplomat, Manish Uprety F.R.A.S prior to the Monsoon Session of Parliament on July 17 in New Delhi.
A press release by the MP’s personal secretary, Vikehel Kenye stated that the MP’s discussion with the Japanese delegates covered a wide range of topics covering the agri and allied sector and investment for the state of Nagaland with special emphasis on strengthening the economic condition of the people in border areas through the agri and allied sector. Besides other general development for the state, the possibility of a “World War II Japanese Memorial” for fallen Japanese soldiers on the ‘forgotten route’, which is the Imphal - Ukhrul –Jessami - Pfutsero trail in Nagaland, was also discussed.
