Kuhuboto Ghakhu Students Union (KGSU) inspected government schools under its jurisdiction in the month of May and June.

A press release from president, KGSU, Kabo G Zhimomi and general secretary, KGSU, Kiyetoli L Chishi, stated that the union during its inspection of 12 government primary schools, 10 government middle schools and 2 government high schools, found that the schools received and distributed books and uniforms from the month of April, while classes commenced from 1st week of February. It stated that such elements should not be delayed as it created problems for both teachers as well as students.
KGSU further lamented the poor infrastructure and shortage of subject teachers, wherein illegitimate allotment of proxy teachers and incompetency of teachers to attend class has been found and regarded as unacceptable by the union and condemned such practices. It warned that the union would take strict actions from the month of August against such allotments
It stated that transferring of teachers had become a trend without proper consent from the union, leading to irregular classes till the transferred teacher has been replaced. Therefore, it stated that the union will take necessary steps to fill the vacant class. KGSU also notified all teachers to have proper consent from KGSU prior to transfer of post.
