Khonoma Rüffüno sports meet concludes

The 75th Khonoma Rüffüno sports meet concluded at Keziekie Ground, Khonoma village on Saturday. 

The sports meet was a prelude to the 75th platinum jubilee celebration to be held on September 1.

Units from Khonoma, Dzuleke, Kohima, Sechü Zubza, Medziphema and Dimapur participated in the sports festival. 

A half marathon covering 22 kms starting from Kohima to Khonoma village was also conducted on Saturday. Altogether 273 participants took part in the event.  The marathon, held under the theme, “Reserve, Conserve, Preserve,” was flagged off by Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) administrator, Kovi Meyase.

Meanwhile, Khonoma Rüffüno Nagaland expressed its gratitude to Kohima District Administration, Traffic Police, CMO office Kohima for the ambulance service, Jotsoma Youth Organisation and Keneizhakho Nakhro, MLA of 8th Western Angami Constituency for their active contribution and support during the marathon.
