Kiphire ADC gets ‘administrator’s award’

First of its kind in the history of Kiphire district, the NGOs of Kiphire town comprising of United Sangtam Baptist Churches Association (USBLA), All Ward Union of Kiphire Town (AWUKT), Sumi Community Kiphire Town (SCKT), Kiphire Area Students Union (KASU), Tikhir Tribal Union Kiphire Town (TTUKT) and Citizens Welfare Society Kiphire (CWSK) has given public “administrator’s award” of Kiphire to Reny  Wilfred, additional deputy commissioner (ADC) Kiphire in recognition  of his outstanding dedication and commitment for the upliftment of the most backward district of India after his posting in Kiphire on May 19.

The award was presented in the presence of deputy commissioner (DC) Kiphire,  M Shayung Phom at Sangtam Baptist Church Kiphire town.

ADC Kiphire, Reny Wilfred in his short speech mentioned that the award he has received is with the efforts and cooperation of all wards of Kiphire. Reny also said that administration was a team work and the award he received reflected the care and blessing of public cooperation and therefore belongs to all the administrative officers. 

ADC encouraged the people that everyone was capable of doing one single good thing in life. ADC also expressed his gratitude to the Power department for immediate response in restoring power supply in the district within two days which had been cut off due to cyclonic storm on May 13. 

Reny further acknowledged the then deputy commissioner Kiphire Mohammed Ali Shihab and then SDO (C) Longdiba Sangtam for support during their stay in Kiphire.

AWUKT chairman, Lisethrong Sangtam welcomed the gathering particularly the administrators and HoDs for attending the occasion. He also expressed happiness and stated that under the leadership of DC, Kiphire, M. Shayung Phom, Kiphire has become one of the best administered town and will continue to support and cooperate in future too.

Award programme was led by Dr.H.Apise Sangtam, secretary USBLA while the programme began with a prayer. It may be mention that the award programme was held on the sideline of the 30th United Sangtam Baptist Theological Conference which was held from May 17 to 19 at Kiphire.
