KMC conducts essay competition

Joining the nationwide “Swacchata Hi Seva” (cleanliness is service campaign), the  Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) organised an essay competition on Plastic Free India for the higher secondary schools in Kohima on November 16 at the DC’s conference hall, Kohima. 

A press release from KMC administrator, Kovi Meyase stated that, 60 students from 31 higher secondary schools participated. The students were given the option to choose one topic from two topics: My dream for a plastic free Kohima and role of citizens towards a plastic free Kohima.

Best three essays were submitted by: 1st Keviseto Mekro, C. D. King Higher Secondary School, Phezhu; 2nd Seiesanuo Keyho, Rashtra Bhasha Samiti, Kohima and 3rd Nithosano Nagi, Govt. Higher Secondary School, Jotsoma.

KMC congratulated all the 60 participants for their response and participation. Winners of the competition are informed to collect their cash prizes and certificates from the office of the KMC on November 27 during office hours.
