KMC increases beef rate to Rs. 200

Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has informed that the rate of the beef has been enhanced from Rs. 180 to Rs. 200 per kg under KMC jurisdiction in partial modification of the office order dated April 4, 2017.

In a press release, KMC administrator, Kovi Meyase explained that the order comes with immediate effect subject to fulfilment of the terms and condition by the butchers that they shall put up sign board and display rate chart. It stated that there shall be no classification of rates, use of digital weighting and wearing of apron was mandatory, hygienic condition to be maintained and they shall abide by the order issued by KMC. KMC further advised the public to report on any contraventions to its office for immediate remedial measures.
