KMC on waste, new office & free dog vaccination

Administrator Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) Kovi Meyase has reminded the general public that the timing for throwing of waste at the KMC collection point is from 5 a.m in the morning and 4 p.m in the evening as per the municipal SWM rules.  KMC warned that any defaulter throwing garbage without following the timing will be firmly dealt with. Henceforth, the KMC will also not collect waste from any unauthorized collection points. The concerned ward Panchayats have been requested to strictly implement this order. 

The KMC administrator has also informed the public that its office has been shifted to New Super Market Complex, top floor w.e.f. September 24.

Further, the Municipal Council has also informed the general public of Kohima town that KMC and chief veterinary office Kohima (dept. of A.H & Vety. services) is jointly organizing a free anti-rabies vaccination program on September 28 commemorating world rabies day. Vaccination booths will be set up in various localities of Kohima town and dog owners can avail free vaccination from 8:30 am till 1 p.m at the following centres: High School Panchayat, Bharat Scouts and Guides office Bayavü, Veterinary Hospital Kohima Pezielietsie, Super Market, Tri-junction Daklane, PWD Panchayat near Lotha Church, T. Junction Chandmari, Dzüvüvü Panchayat near South Point Market, A.G. Panchayat, Waiting Shed near CRPF camp, Forest Colony Community Hall and Indoor Stadium.
