Kohima DPDB meeting held

The monthly meeting of Kohima District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) was held at DC’s conference hall, Kohima on July 16. The meeting was chaired by ADC, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa.
According to DIPR, a pamphlet called ‘Man loses Money’ on making financial investments, issued by the Reserve Bank of India, was distributed among the members.
During the meeting, Kezhangulie Kire from “Glocal Concepts, Nagaland” presented a concept on sustainable development and ways to beat plastic pollution and create employment avenues. 
He highlighted the hazards of plastic usage and encouraged use of  bio-degradable plastic substitutes to achieve a plastic-free Nagaland within six months time, as desired by the PDA government.
A departmental presentation will be given by Agriculture Department in the next DPDB meeting.
