Kohima SVEEP van ends campaign

A mobile van set up with posters, pamphlet and equipped with a Public Address (PA) system playing the district theme song "Be the One," had been on the move in and around Kohima district to create awareness about 'Clean Elections' since March 30.

DIPR reports that the awareness campaign was organized under the Kohima district Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) campaign with its main objective being to reach out to every eligible voter to vote right as per guidelines of the Election Commission of India (ECI).

The mobile van covered Kezocha EAC circle area on April 1 and Kohima town on April 2 with the motorcycle rally. On April 4 it covered ADC Chiephobozou area and Botsa EAC circle area and on April 5 it covered Kohima village, Secretariat area and some town areas. The mobile van awareness campaign culminated on April 6 covering different colonies which included NHAK, Agri, Jail, Ministers Hill, Mohonkhola, Chandmari and Lerei.
