Kohima traffic rules during NLA session

In view of the ensuing assembly session on, the Kohima police have issued traffic regulations that would be enforced as part of the security arrangement.

In a press release, PRO Kohima police said that only vehicles with the car passes would be allowed entry to the Assembly Secretariat.

Police said that no vehicle including two-wheeler would be allowed to park by the roadside from 6am onwards on February 21, 22, 23, 25 and 26 at the following routes till the session is over: from BSNL Telephone Exchange till Classic Island, from Raj Bhavan till MS Classic Island and from Classic Island till Assembly Secretariat via Razhü Point.

Further, heavy vehicles would not be allowed to ply in Kohima town during Assembly Session, from 6am till the session was over. All loading and unloading of goods in Kohima town should be completed by 6am during Assembly Session.

Seeking cooperation from the public, the police cautioned that defaulting vehicles would be towed away and the charges would be borne by the vehicles owners.
