Alumni of Evangelical Union (EU) of Kohima Science College, organized a retreat programme at Christian Youth Centre (CYC) KSC, Jotsoma on Saturday as part of preparation for the forthcoming golden jubilee to be held from October 12 to 13, 2019 under the theme, “jubilation to his faithfulness”.

EU is a Christian ministry under union of Evangelical Students of India (UESI) an inter-denominational which seeks to evangelise post-matric students in India, nurture them as disciples of Lord Jesus Christ that they may serve the church and society.

He challenged the gathering to celebrate the jubilee prayerfully with the intent to mend broken hearts for the students and society as well. Longkumer appealed the alumni and evangelical union members to serve God.

President, Evangelical Graduate Fellowship (EGF) Dimapur, David Koza in his speech stressed on the importance of dealing with the mindset or mental framework of the students and young people. He said with advancement of the present world technology and continuous changing of living standard, the matter of dealing with the young people is more complex and need God’s wisdom. He reminded that this present world confused the young mind in many ways to differentiate wrong and right that will hinder Christian growth.

Koza said the value of dignity of labour was diminishing and present life is driven by materialism. He said the need of the hour was to dig for the Truth from the Bible to counter the present world and to guide and lead young people according to God’s will. He urged everyone to stand firm on the word of God and be aware of the self styled religious leaders and preachers.
