With reference to the government’s recent advertisement for the post of Primary Teacher (Hindi), Konyak Students’ Union (KSU) in its letter to the Principal Director, School Education Nagaland has appealed for relaxation of “Eligibility Criteria” for the Konyak to apply for the post of Primary Teacher (Hindi).

In a letter signed by KSU president, Bumang Phaiba and assistant general secretary, Nokpho Wangsha, it stated that the Konyak tribe of Mon district consistently remains the lowest literacy rate in the state with every count of population census.
In this connection, Konyak Students’ Union  (KSU) has informed that most of the Konyak applicants would not fulfil the required educational qualification or ‘Eligibility Criteria’ to apply for the Primary Teacher (Hindi).
Therefore, Konyak Students’ Union (KSU) has appealed the department of school education to relax the ‘Eligibility Criteria’ for the Konyaks to apply for the aforesaid posts.
