KTC Cup: New Market, Vanguard win

New Market FC and Vanguard FC Tseminyu entered the semi-finals of KTC Cup after winning their respective matches on Tuesday.

New Market FC defeated United 16 FC by 2-1. Rhitsho Mero scored both the goals for New Market FC. The first goal was scored in the 23rd minute while the second goal came in the 80th minute. 

The goal for United 16 FC was scored by Vareiyang in the 31st minute. 

In the second match of the day, Vanguard FC Tseminyu beat Khriekesa FC Meriema by 3-2. In the competitive and exciting match, both teams failed to score any goal in the first half. After the breather, Yhunshalo Kemp found the net for Vanguard FC in the 65th minute. However, Akuo-u Ciesotsu found a late equaliser for Khriekesa to take the match into the extra time.

The first goal in extra time was scored by Vimelie Chasie of Khriekesa FC in the 91st minute. But Vanguard’s Yhunshalo Kemp scored in the 116th and 123rd minute to completed his hat-trick and also seal the match 3-2 in favour of Vanguard FC.
