KTP traffic rules & regulations seminar

Kohima Traffic Police (KTP) conducted a traffic rules and regulations field seminar with taxi and bus drivers at Phoolbari and High School Junction, Kohima on April 25. 

According to PRO of DEF Kohima, Manom Wallim, deputy SP Traffic along with UBI, L. Mhathung Patton, OC North Traffic control and personnel from North Traffic Control conducted the sensitization program. They emphasized for the drivers that awareness of traffic rules and regulations can help reduce traffic congestion in Kohima and save the lives of both drivers and pedestrians. 

Deputy SP Traffic, said that ignoring traffic laws and rules can lead to punishment in the form of fines and imprisonment. He also impressed upon the taxi and bus drivers that they need to abide by the Supreme Court directive to not use tinted glasses, bull bars, high beam LED lights and high frequency horns. 

He also elaborated on various measures that the Kohima Traffic Police has formulated to ease traffic congestion in Kohima.
