KUK conducts 38th general meeting

Konyak Union Kohima (KUK) conducted its 30th general meeting today at SIRD conference hall Saturday.

Exhorting the gathering Y. M Yollow, MLA shared on three types of Konyaks, the past, present and the future Konyak, the traditional values, work culture and honesty.

He reminded that Konyak people had remained united since time immemorial to this day and urged that the same must exist and advocated that Konyak identity must be highly preserved. Yollow reiterated to remain united for the upliftment of the Konyak community and acknowledged the present team of KUK for working for the welfare of the Konyak community in and around Kohima and extended his support to the KUK in future.

Eshak Konyak, MLA in his brief address shared about transparency and accountability in the community and urged to maintain the identity and preserve the traditional value of life. MLA also extended his support for betterment of Konyak society in the days to come.

General secretary KUK Khongjah and finance secretary S. A Engo presented annual report while the president Dr. W. Phola delivered welcome note. Pastor KBBK pronounced invocation prayer.
