KVK Mon conducts training

Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Mon, conducted an intensive three day training program on “Climate Change and Disaster Management” for extension functionaries/in-service personnel and civil societies from August 22 to 24, at KVK conference hall, Aboi and Angphang village, respectively. 

A presss release from assistant chief technical officer (GPB) KVK Mon, Aboi, Dr. M. S. Sachan stated that during the three day program resource person, assistant chief technical officer (Genetics & Plant Breeding), Dr. Manoj Singh Sachan, and ACTO (Animal Science), Dr. Paihem Michui, explained various aspects of climate change with special reference to modern agricultural and livestock practices such as resource conservation technologies, climate resilient crop varieties, disaster management, a forestation, multiple & integrated farming system, poultry production and disease management in livestock. Altogether, 37 persons were benefitted. The program was chaired by ACTO (Animal Science), while a vote of thanks was pronounced by ACTO (GPB).
