Police officers on duty at TCP Gate Kohima rescued one Longkhangbah Yimchunger who was found loitering around after the window period for shopping was over.

On being asked as to why he was still out and about, he revealed to the police personnel that he had gone out in search of money to buy food.

He informed the officers that he had come to Kohima as a stone mason and at present, was staying with his brother and friend at Officers Hill and due to the lockdown, he has been jobless and hence, no earnings.

Having understood the pitiable circumstances the person was in, one officer immediately called up DC’s office, after which he was given ration not only for himself but even for his brother and friend who were left jobless and worried due to the lockdown.
