LADP scheme for Wka, Mkg approved

Local Area Development Programme (LADP) schemes for 2018-19 under Wokha and Mokokchung districts have been approved by their respective board members at the District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meetings held on September 4. 

According to DIPR, in Wokha, the DPDB meeting was chaired by vice-chairman DPDB & DC Wokha, Dr.Manazir Jeelani Samoon. Chairman DPDB Wokha and advisor, information technology, science and technology, new & renewable energy, Mmhonlumo Kikon and advisor horticulture, Mhathung Yanthan attended the meeting.

DC informed all the members of the Wokha District Disaster Management Authority and concerned line departments to attend the interactive session with the visiting members of Inter-Ministerial Central Team on September 5 at DC’s conference hall at 3 pm.

Meanwhile, responding to the queries raised by the Lotha Hoho chairman on use of explosives and chemicals at Doyang river, the DC said that the district administration will soon hold a meeting with the concerned department, villages and stakeholders in the vicinity of the Doyang reservoir, where a resolution will be passed on the use of explosive and chemical in Doyang river.

Departments of medical, food & civil supplies, mechanical and civil defence& home guards gave power point presentation highlighting their departmental activities and programmes. The chairman requested department of tourism and economics and statistics to present their departmental activities in the next meeting.

Mokokchung: The meeting held under the chairmanship of advisor, industries and commerce and chairman DPDB Mokokchung, Imnatiba while approving the LADP scheme, has also approved the constitution of verification committee for LADP. The house also recommended for approval and registration of “Societyfor Christian Living”.

The meeting began with review of the last meeting minutes, after which Mokokchung District Website https://mokokchungnic.in hosted by National Information Centre was launched by the chairman. He said that this will bring the people closer and connected thereby showcasing more transparency in all the government activities in the district. He was also optimistic that the people in general will be benefited through this website.

In his introductory briefing on the website, DIO, Er.Temsu said that the programme was a central initiative policy programme where every district must have a single window and that all the district activities of the government were to be uploaded.

Deputy commissioner & vice chairman DPDB, Sachin Jaiswal requested the house for suggestions which he can put up in the forthcoming DC’s conference to be held at Kohima. 

Minister PWD, Tongpang Ozukum, who also attended the meeting, suggested the house to give detail report on the damaged caused by natural calamities from the next meeting saying that as DPDB members one should always be alert and should keep on updating every incidents happening in the district. On launching of the district website, Tongpang called upon the members to materialise in reality. In the meeting, three new board members were also introduced asstt.co-operative registrar societies, R.Bendang Ao, EAC, Khriethozo and EAC, KhiuzanKaurinta.
