Longmatra Area Public Organization (LAPO) Kiphire has reacted to the

Kiphire sadar assembly constituency committee on delimitation (KSACCD)’s proposal for separate Kiphire Sadar assembly constituency seat.
In a representation to the chairperson of delimitation commission through the deputy commissioner (DC) Kiphire, the LAPO speaker TS James Sor, deputy speaker Pongethe, vice president Jurinthe and assembly secretary T Daniel Sangtam stated that KSACCD submitted proposal/representation without the knowledge of the general public of Longmatra Area.
The signatories said that LAPO during its meeting on September 12, 2020, decided that 12 villages would remain under 59 Seyochung-Sitimi A/C and two villages to remain under 60 Kiphire-Pungro A/C.  LAPO has, therefore, appealed to the commission to intervene and allow the mentioned villages to remain under the same constituencies.
