Late Manik’s wife passes away

Mrs. Maya Bhattacharjee, wife of prominent social worker and citizen of Dimapur late Manik Bhattacharjee, who preceded her in death in 2008, passed away at a Guwahati hospital on Wednesday. Late Mrs. Bhattacharjee, mother of Monoj Bhattacharjee, administrator of Pranab Vidhyapith Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, was also the chairperson of Manik Bhattacharjee foundation and sponsor of Manik Bhattacharjee award to HSLC and HSSLC toppers under NBSE.
Governor PB Acharya expressed sadness over the demise of Mrs.Maya Bhattacharjee and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
In his condolence message to Manoj Bhattacharjee, the governor said “she was a source of inspiration to you and your late father Shri Manik Bhattacharjee, a great social worker and educationist.”
Governor conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and further prayed that Almighty grant them strength and solace to bear this irreparable loss at this hour of grief.
Tovihoto: Advisor power & chairman DPDB, Dimapur, H Tovihoto Ayemi, MLA, has expressed deep shock over untimely demise of Maya Bhattacharjee and said that “in her passing, we have lost a wonderful being, gentle soul and a woman of distinguished humanity.” 
In his condolence message, Tovihoto prayed to Almighty God to grant comfort and provide strength to the bereaved family to tide over the loss. He also offered deepest sympathies to the family members and prayed that God rest her soul in eternal peace.
DSC: Dimapur Sumi Council (DSC) has expressed deep grief and pain over the demise of Maya Bhattacharjee.
In a condolence message, SCD described her as “a motherly figure” and said her death was not only a loss for the family but also the people of Dimapur cutting across caste, creed and religion. 
Stating that she would be deeply missed, the SCD expressed condolences to the bereaved family and also prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
HYS: Hindu Yuva Sanga (HYS) has paid homage to the departed soul of Maya Bhattacharjee, the one who stood by Manik Bhattacharjee all the time and the one who has been the spinal cord of the Bhattacharjee family. 
In a condolence message, HYS on behalf of its members, office bearers and advisors conveyed condolence to the family of late Maya Bhattacharjee and prayed that her soul abode in peace.
MCD: Muslim Council Dimapur (MCD) expressed shock over the demise of Maya Battacharjee.
In a condolence message, MCD said extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed to Almighty to give her eternal peace.
Dimapur Bongs: Members of Dimapur Bongs expressing shock over the demise of Maya Bhattacharjee prayed to the Almighty God to give strength to the bereaved family to overcome from this grief and also prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
