Late NI Jamir’s family donate medical equipment to IMDH

Family of late NI Jamir donated an ambulance and a portable digital x-ray machine to COVID hospital under Dr. Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH), Mokokchung on July 21.

The deputy commissioner and DTF Mokokchung chairman, Limawabang Jamir received the donated medical equipment.

Speaking at the programme, DC Limawabang Jamir said that late NI Jamir (former chief secretary and former cabinet minister) was one of the most prominent citizens in Nagaland.

In this regard, he appreciated the family for carrying out the legacy of the late leader in the district through their philanthropic works.

Speaking on behalf of the hospital, MS Dr. Limatula Aier said that the ambulance and digital x-ray machine arrived at the right moment when the hospital was in dire need of such equipment.

She asserted that the ambulance and the x-ray machine would not only help the patients, but would also boost the morale of healthcare workers in the district. 

Earlier, CMO Mokokchung Dr. R. Chubala Aier chaired the programme while Mokokchung Town Baptist Church (MTBA) pastor, Yanglu Pongen dedicated the equipment and the ambulance.
