Living Bible College (LBC) Ayinato, on Saturday, conferred degrees on 19 graduating students at the 14th commencement exercise of the Centre.

The students (12 Bachelors of Theology and seven Masters of Divinity) were conferred their degrees in the presence of well wishers and family. A dedicatory prayer for the students was said by executive secretary NCRC Sumi headquarters Pughoboto, Rev. Vitoka Kinny.

The speaker of the program, Sumi Baptist Convention director, Rev. Dr. Khehovi Shohe, speaking on the topic “Walking in the footsteps of Jesus”, reminded the graduating students that as Christians they should live their lives like Christ and carry out their mission with humility by leaving aside worldly affairs. He also asked students who conduct their mission in various places, to live Godly and exemplary lives just as apostle Peter had directed.

Rev. Dr. Khehovi also reminded the students that academic achievements will help them in their ministries but before joining the ministry, they should remember that “kneeling at the feet of Jesus” was the best theological institution.

On the occasion, the college also gave away awards to achiever students. Aghali Shilena (Bachelor of Theology) was named as student of the year. The best discipline award went to Samit Lakra (Master of Divinity), and Mughatolu Swu (Bachelor of Theology) bagged the academic excellence award. Khrusazo Swuro (Master of Divinity) received three awards: best preaching, academic excellence and best Bible knowledge.

Earlier, the program began with an invocation offered by NCRC Thilixu, Rev. Phuhoto Chishi followed by a welcome address by LBC managing board member, professor John Sema.
