Lady Bird High School (LBHS) lifted the MDCA Inter-School U-16 Cricket Championship trophy after beating Children High School by 19 runs in a low scoring match.

After winning the toss, Lady Bird High School elected to bat first and scored 71 runs losing 9 wickets in 20 overs. For Children High School, Imlitemsu finished with an impressive figure of 4 wickets conceding only 9 runs from his 4 overs. Dev Raj also took 2 wickets.
Chasing the small yet a tricky target considering the condition of the ground, the Children High School lost wickets at regular intervals which didn’t help in their cause. Sosangmar was the pick of the bowler for LBHS with a 3 wicket haul conceding only 10 runs in his 4 overs. All the LBHS bowlers gave an equal support as Imnajungba, Imlisunep and Tongpanjung took 2 wickets each. Eventually, Children High School batsmen were bowled out for 51 runs in 12.3 overs.
Sosangmar of LBHS was named the man of the match for his all-round performance. Imlitemsu of Children High School was named the most promising player.  Both the champions and runners up were awarded cash prize, trophy, medal and certificates.
Before the final match, Imkongwati, president, AKM graced the short closing ceremony as a special guest. In his speech, he asked the students to be disciplined, hard working, to have patience and focus on what they are doing. He also highlighted about the popularity and opportunities in the field of sports.
