Leadership training for women in Longleng

Ayolta Human Resource Society (AHRS) organized a Leadership Development Training program for minority women, sponsored by Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India, on September 6, in its office hall with Konchem Phom, assistant professor, Yingli College Longleng, as the resource person.

A press release from AHRS secretary Himja Leinak reported that the resource person, speaking on the topic, “Health and Hygiene”, explained the various health hazards faced by the people of the community, due to lack of proper health education. 

“Health is Wealth” she said and continued the talk on various basic measures to be taken up by mothers at home to keep their family healthy and safe. 

Delivering a welcome address, Phongla Phom, advisor, AHRS urged the gathering to make proper use of such opportunities to educate one self and to keep one’s family healthy.

The program which was chaired by Chonglom Phom, AHRS member, began after the invocation prayer by Hamman Phom. It concluded with a mass prayer.
