Legal awareness for students

 A legal awareness programme on “Know Your Constitution” was held under the aegis of Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA) in collaboration with Little Flower Higher Secondary School (LFHSS) Kohima on February 19. 

NSLSA in a press statement stated that, N. Kotiswar Singh, while presenting on “Know your Constitution”, highlighted the importance of law and explained on the two types of laws: written and unwritten. 
According to Singh, unwritten laws are laws which can be understandable to one-self.  “Law is like a shadow and air which cannot be realized, but stays wherever we go and is like an air which follows everywhere”, he added. 
He also spoke on the fundamental rights of a citizen. 
Member secretary NSLSA, Mezivolu Therie briefed on the importance of the programme and presented salient features on the functions of the legal services institution. 
Principal LFHSS Kohima,  sister Lucy delivered the welcome address and thanked justice N. Kotiswar Singh, and Neiko Kanuo, registrar Gauhati High Court Kohima Bench for their valuable time in sharing through the programme, while vote of thanks was delivered by LFHSS Kohima, school captain, Temsunaro. 
On the occasion, a quiz competition event was also conducted which the students vibrantly participated. The winners of the competition were awarded prizes and gift hampers by Justice N. Kotiswar Singh.  A total of 380 students participated in the programme.
