On September 30, minister of Urban Development & Municipal Affairs, Metsubo Jamir; Tongpang Ozukum, minister PWD; and Dr. Neikiesalie Kire, advisor, Rural Development, together with department officials and engineers conducted onsite inspections of projects around Kohima city.

The team inspected the Lerie-BSF Camp Road to assess the possibility of constructing an alternate route for commuters to ease traffic woes in Kohima. The three also visited Sanourii Bridge (Secratariat road) and Tinpati-Naga Hospital By-Pass Road which were affected by the landslides during the monsoon season.

The inspection was conducted in the hopes of creating better coordination between departments and various implementing agencies to help them serve the public better.
