A leopard which had reportedly killed a number of domestic animals around the area was trapped by a group of youth from Longpong ward under Tuli town on July 11 night.
A press release from the Longpong Ward Committee (LWC) informed that, the youths were able to entice the leopard into the local trap which had been skillfully put up.
Longpong Ward Committee also appreciated the youth for their fearless efforts in trapping the wild animal without any harm. The committee further decided to hand over the leopard to the Wildlife department of Nagaland.
