Likho wins traditional shot put competition

Likho Sangma from Garo tribe won the traditional shot put competition held at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama on Sunday. 

The competition was organised by Department of Youth Resources & Sports and supported by Department of Tourism. 

The competition saw 15 people representing different tribes of the state.

In the competition, Sangma managed to throw the 20kg stone to 16.6 m to take the title and walked home with a cash of Rs 7000. 

Second position Keleseho (15.8 m) from Angami tribe received a cash of Rs 5000. 

Third place Chinglei Phom from Phom community (15. 7 feet) was awarded Rs.3000.
