Livelihood programme on shoe, basket making in Dimapur

 Assisi centre for integrated development (ACID) commenced livelihood and enterprise development programmes (LEDP) supported by national bank for agriculture and rural development (NABARD) RO Nagaland on October 6 for three batches comprising of 90 members for 45 consecutive days. The first batch training commenced on October 6, Naga Colony, Burma Camp.

A press release by ACID stated that, programmes were moderated by SHG animator, Dimapur, Aobendang who explained that programmes were mainly for self-sustenance of members and to enhance their skills.

ACID director, Sr. Pramila Lobo said that LEDP programmes aimed at creation of sustainable livelihoods amongst SHG members and expressed gratitude to NABARD for constant support and guidance to nurture and promote SHG groups.

DA, NABARD, Regional Office, Nagaland, Rahul Tiwari shared that LEDP programme was for inclusive growth to start business to be self-dependent and to increase their income in the group.

He further explained social security schemes like, PMJDY, PMSBY, PMJJBY, APY and Sukanya Samridhi Yojana
