Log drum installed at customary court Tsg

A log drum on the theme, “reviving the glory of drum” was installed at Tuensang district DBs customary on November 19, with DC Tuensang, Mohammed, Ali Shihab as chief guest. 

According to DIPR report, the log drum was donated by Waoshu village and the pulling of the log drum started from DC bungalow to customary court Tuensang attended by villagers of Waoshu, elders of the town, DBs and officers of the district. The installation programme was held at customary court hall Tuensang, led by EAC Tuensang, Kevithito Rose. 

Yangchu Chang PA to DC Tuensang and convenor planning committee addressed the opening remark. 

Speaking on the occasion, the DC appreciated the collective initiatives of the citizen and appreciated Waoshu village for donating the log drum to the district. He remarked that it was an asset for the district and under it the district should live in peace, prosperity and harmony. It occupies a significant role in the minds of the Nagas and was not just a wooden drum but rather an emblem of unity, sacrifice and bravery, DC said. 

Rajashikaran DIG also wished the citizens peace, harmony and happiness. 

T. Oungbou DB and friends presented folk song. S. Namang head GB Waoshu village and Heno (retd) PA to DC also spoke on the occasion.
