Longleng DPDB approves LADP

Longleng District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) at the monthly meeting held on August 13 has approved the LADP 2019-20 for 49 A/C Tamlu and 50 A/C Longleng. 

According to DIPR report, the meeting held under the new chairmanship of B.S. Nganlang Phom at DC’s conference hall, Longleng, after discussing the agenda proposed for electrification in new site, has directed the SDO (Power) to prepare the DPR and submit in the next meeting for approval. 

Minister of Health and Family Welfare, S. Pangnyu Phom in his short speech thanked the government officials for smoothly conduct of the Lok Sabha election 2019 in the district. He maintained that DPDB was an important platform not only for discussion and sharing the problems alone but the meeting minutes were essential for approving any schemes and projects for the district. Therefore, he suggested that the copies of the DPDB meeting be given to every member.  

Pangnyu also informed that cabinet meeting of the state Government may be held in Longleng district at any time and urged the members to be alert and active with their respective departmental activities. He also appealed to the members to extend all possible help and cooperation to any NGOs, clubs or organization, who were working in reality for the uplift of the district. 

Earlier, B.S. Nganlang in his speech, said he was ready to give a patient hearing to the grievances of the members, and appealed them to raise their problems and difficulties of the departments. He also sought the cooperation and support of every DPDB member for smooth and effective functioning. 

DC John Tsulise Sangtam welcomed the new DPDB chairman and appealed to the members to be present and regular in the activities of the district. He further cautioned that any members found absent for three consecutive DPDB meeting will be reflected in the APAR. DC also apprised the elected members about the activities conducted on Jal Shakti Abhiyaan in Longleng. He informed that Longleng was selected under the scheme due to shortage of ground water and scarcity of water in the district. Er. Khitangpila SDO, Water Resource Department, Longleng presented the activities of her department through power point presentation. Fisheries and Sericulture departments will present their activities in the next meeting.
