Lotha Football C’ship: Friends Club and A1 Tsungiki enter semis

Friends Club and A1 Tsungiki entered the semi-finals of the ongoing 10th Lotha Football Championship played here at local ground Wokha on Wednesday.

In the third quarter finals match Friends Club Wokha Village (FCWV) thrashed RCR Football Club by 11-0.Sulan scored six goals for FCWV, while captain of Friends Club scored three goals and Nzauhut added two goals. 
A1 Tsungiki defeated Young Generation by a solitary goal in the fourth quarter finals of the championship. Along Longkumer, Motor Vehicle Officer, Wokha graced the quarter finals match as the match patron. 
Up next, Friends Club Wokha Village will play against Vungoju Football Club in the first semi-final match, and A1 Tsungiki takes on NRSA in the second semi-final match on Thursday.
Meanwhile, an exhibition match will be played between Wokha District Veteran Football Association and the organizers (WDFA) before the start of the semi finals match, the organisers informed.

Altogether 30 teams from 20 villages are taking part in the tournament consisting of football and volleyball (men and women).
