Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) has appealed to the DC Wokha to initiate strict action on transfer and attendance of the government employees as discussed during the union executive meeting held on July 29.

In a representation to DC, LSU president, Lipemo M Tsopoe and general secretary, Ashanthung Humtsoe stated that, it had deliberated at length for strict implementation of these agendas.
LSU stated that on receiving public grievances in the district in regard to transfer along with post, the union cautioned that it will not hesitate to take its own course of action, for which the concerned head of department will be held solely responsible if any government employee is found transferred along with post from Wokha district. In order to avoid inconvenience in any of the government functionaries/department, the union has appealed to all head of the department in the district not to entertain any transfer without a reliever.
LSU also said that it has found some officers posted in the district being irregular in their duties for which it asked all the head of the department officers to be in the station and perform their duties as per assigned and designated duties efficiently.
The union also sought co-operation as well as to insure strict guidelines on the above representation points being implemented by the DC for welfare of the Lotha public.
