Most Rev. Dr. James Thoppil, Bishop of Kohima, was the main celebrant. Rev. Fr. Carolus Neisalhou, vicar general diocese of Kohima, Fr. Jacob Charalel, chancellor of diocese, Fr. George Punnolil, administrator of the diocese of Kohima with other fathers concelebrated the with Bishop.

The Bishop in his introduction said that they were celebrating Holy Thursday to commemorate the two precious gifts left by Jesus for his Church: the Holy Eucharist and priesthood, and the two commandments to love and to serve.

During the homily, he referred to the first reading from the book of Exodus (12:1-8, 11-14) where the celebration of the Passover is narrated.
