Model Christian College (MCC) organised a conference on the choice based credit system (CBCS) at the college auditorium on August 19.

A press release from MCC principal, Dr. Luke Rymbai stated that, professor Nigamananda Das, dean, School of Humanities and Education, Nagaland University, was the resource person.
In the choice based credit system, the students have the choice to choose from the prescribed courses and papers. The papers were referred to as core, discipline specific elective, generic elective and soft skill courses. The students can learn at their own pace and the entire assessment is graded based on a credit system. The new system is learner centric. The introduction to CBCS was followed by interaction where teachers raised doubts and questions about the system.
Earlier, principal led the conference and vice principal, Dr. Nungshikokla Jamir, gave the welcome address, while vote of thanks was given by academic dean Jamkhanmoi.

Launched on December 3,1990. Nagaland Post is the first and highest circulated newspaper of Nagaland state. Nagaland Post is also the first newspaper in Nagaland to be published in multi-colour.
