Meeting for I-Day in Kohima

Kohima district under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Gregory Thejawelie held a meeting for the ensuing Independence Day 2019 celebration at DC’s Conference Hall here on July 19. 

The meeting was held to chalk out work distribution and other arrangements to be held at New Secretariat plaza, Kohima.

Chairing the meeting, DC informed the gathering that the meeting has been convened to look into various areas where the district administration has been given in-charge.

The members also reviewed the State level meeting minutes held in regard to the Independence Day celebration where DC sought confirmation from various departments/NGOs participation in different assigned works and requested them to execute their assigned work. 

A total of eleven contingents from uniform category have been confirmed their participation in the ceremonial parade while seven contingents from different schools were entrusted to District Education Officer for confirmation. The meeting also decided to have parade rehearsal from August 6 at Secretariat Plaza from 8 am onwards, for which the transportation will be taken care by the district administration. Three bands also confirmed to participate in the ceremonial parade.

The meeting also discussed on various assigned works like cultural items, dance display, taekwondo, visitation of Institutions, football exhibition match, security arrangement, medical coverage, putting up of flag post, road maintenance, P.A equipments etc.

The meeting was attended by all the concerned officials from various departments and NGOs.
