Meeting on language held at ARTC&S

The biannual meeting of Dimapur Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC) was held at ARTC&S, Dimapur under the chairmanship of Colonel Anil Yadav, commanding officer No 2 training battalion, ARTC&S on August 31.

Lt Col SO-1 (Edn) Bhavana Sharma on behalf of the commandant, in a press release stated that 35 members of the Central government offices situated in Dimapur attended the meet.

Bhavana Sharma who is also the TOLIC secretary, gave the welcome speech which was followed by a detailed briefing on the various aspects of the TOLIC meet by Naib Subedar (Hindi Translator) Deshraj of ARTC&S. Representative members of various government offices presented inputs and reports on their progress on implementation of Rajbhasha Hindi in their AORs and sectors. 

Colonel Anil Yadav emphasized on the importance of progressive use of Hindi and requested all members to implement the policies issued by the Government of India regarding publicity and implementation.

The chairman also spoke about how motivational steps could be used in the implementation of Hindi, by means of incentives and appreciation in all Central Government Offices.      

The chairman also applauded the efforts of the members of TOLIC Dimapur for their continuous efforts. 

During the meet all members were requested to implement Hindi incentive schemes introduced by the Government of India, in their respective offices.

Badri Yadav, research officer (Implementation), Department of Official language, Regional Implementation Office (North East Region), also attended the meeting as a representative of the Ministry of Home Affairs. 

He requested all the heads of central government offices, banks and PSUs situated in Dimapur town to attend the TOLIC meet. He further added that all offices must submit their report on line and on time to the Official Language department.
