Meeting with ANMs held in Wokha

A meeting with ANMs NHM Wokha from all the health units was held on August 28 at the conference hall of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Wokha.

A press release from NHM Wokha media officer, Mhonbeni Ezung stated that Dr. Robin CMO while addressing the ANMs said no part time job of those already employed under NHM would be entertained. Absence from duty without prior permission or proper leave would be viewed seriously and “no work no pay” would be applied. He encouraged the ANMs to work sincerely and regularly in the interest of public service and abide by all standing orders, rules and regulations of the department. 

Dr. Benchilo DTO spoke on the daily regime for DOTS. CBNAAT machine installed at DTC Wokha for Multi Drug Resistant (MDR) patients previously treated patients, are to be referred to District Tuberculosis Centre (DTC) Wokha to detect MDR patients among them. She said that during VHND activities TB suspects should be identified. 

Dr. Zuben Kikon deputy CMO asked that proper records be maintained, and encouraged timely submission of all reports. The terms and conditions laid out by the district were read out to the ANMs (NHM) and signed by each of them. Dr. Khelito DPO (RCH/UIP) spoke on the Measles Rubella Vaccination Campaign (M-RVC). All the ANMs under NHM from all the sub-centers were sensitized and geared for additional duties in urban areas.
