Menstrual hygiene awareness programme held in Dimapur

Menstrual hygiene awareness programme and distribution of free sanitary napkins was held at the DC's office in Dimapur on August 4, initiated by the Dimapur deputy commissioner, Anoop Khinchi in collaboration with the Community Health Initiative (CHI). 

A press release by CHI stated that, DC highlighted the importance of good hygiene practices and the role of educated girls in contributing to the country's development. He later distributed around 3000 sanitary napkins to all the school and college students attending the programme. Later, director of CHI Loreni Sophia had an interaction and awareness session with the students and teachers on menstrual hygiene management. 
Programme was attended by students and teachers from the Dimapur Government College, Government High School Sarpura, Government Higher Secondary School Nagarjan, Government High School Lenrijan, Government High School Burma Camp.
