To keep the students engaged during the lockdown period, the MGM higher secondary school Dimapur has created a dedicated WhatsApp group comprising of all the faculty members with the principal Rev Fr Dr. PS Varghese as its administrator.

The school principal give instructions and updates to the teachers in the group on how to ensure the students and teachers utilise online tools and technology for the teaching-learning process.

The school also has dedicated WhatsApp groups for students from classes Nursery to Class 12 with the respective class teacher as the administrator. The teachers give daily prepared notes, weekly assignments and post the links/videos from various educational resources like YouTube, SWAYAM, National Digital Library and other websites in the group. The students would then submit their assignments/home work via WhatsApp/email to their respective subject teachers.  Some teachers are also making use of advanced educational tools like Google classroom to give assignments, notes and course work to their students. Besides, the school also has an ERP named Vawsum App (functional since August 2019). Through the app, the principal and teachers interact with the students and parents so as to disseminate information and to attend to school related queries especially during this lockdown period.

Launched on December 3,1990. Nagaland Post is the first and highest circulated newspaper of Nagaland state. Nagaland Post is also the first newspaper in Nagaland to be published in multi-colour.
