MGM HSS PTA meet, music fest

MGM Higher Secondary School (MGM HSS) Midland, Dimapur, organized its second PTA Meeting & Music Competition on April 17 at the school auditorium.

A press release issued by the school’s Media Cell stated that the meeting started with an invocation prayer by teacher Inatoli followed a welcome speech by teacher Erenbeni.
Principal Rev. Fr. Dr. PS Varghese in his speech stated that parents should create a friendly environment for their children at home.  He also highlighted the importance of co-curricular activities for all round development of a child. He also requested the parents to guide their children in a positive way, provide them necessary things and not follow the tuition culture. The principal further spoke about remedial classes the school is giving slow learners and also its care of gifted students to train them to reach their maximum potential.  Headmaster B. Paul also addressed the gathering and advised the parents to give first priority to their children’s education and not neglect them while they are studying but to acknowledge their success. 
The parents also express their views and opinions. Teachers from Tarang Music Academy also performed during the meeting.  A music competition was held for classes 5 to 8 in which the students took part actively. Many students participated in the light music competition. Teacher trainees of Unity B. Ed College and Bosco B. Ed college were judges for the event. Teacher N Singh proposed a vote of thanks.
