The Mao Hoho Dimapur (MHD) has  strongly condemned the act of burning down houses and hotels at Makhan Opriingho (Makhan Bridge) under Senapati District, Manipur, during the wee hours of September 17 by armed miscreants of Northern Maram Union (NMU)

A press release by MHD president stated that the “barbaric act has rendered many homeless and also taken away their means of livelihood.” It said that “no words are enough to condemn such acts during the present and crucial times when Nagas need Peace and Unity in earnest.”

The release added  MHD offers its “moral support to the victims and pray that the Almighty guide them out of their loss and misery”, while also  appealing to  the concerned authority to arrest the culprits and settle the issue amicably before the situation spirals out of control.
