Mini cold storage inaugurated in Kohima

Chükehie Northern Angami Area Mutlti Purpose Cooperative Society’s cold storage room with a capacity of 10 metric tonnes was inaugurated by registrar of co-operative society, Wepe Ritse at Vibeilietuo’s Building, Sanuorü, Kohima on Saturday.

The cold storage was funded by department of cooperation, government of Nagaland under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana.

Speaking at the inauguration programme, Ritse urged the Northern Angami Chükehie society (NACS) to utilise the cold storage properly so that it can boost the economy of the rural people. 

Vibeilietuo Kets, president, NACS said their society is working at the grassroots level covering 30 villages of Northern Angami- 11. 

He informed that a permanent complex called Northern Angami Rural Marketing Complex is also under construction.  

The programme was chaired by Vibeilietuo Kets and dedicatory prayer was offered Lezo Huozha, pastor, Shalom Church, Meriema Basa.
